Overview

As the Forensics Evaluations Manager, you'll oversee all clinical and administrative functions related to mental health evaluations for our contract with the NJ Department of Treasury, representing the NJ State Parole Board.

Key responsibilities include conducting evaluations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, developing clinical strategies, creating policies and procedures for the department, and ensuring the financial aspects of the program are completed, including billing and reimbursement.

Additionally, you will provide psychological testing, risk assessments, and in-depth evaluations for law enforcement officer pre-employment and fit-for-duty assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant state and federal laws such as the ADA, FMLA, and NJLAD.

Responsible for developing and executing CFG’s clinical strategies that promote quality, safety, and fiscal responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and supervise licensed mental health evaluators
  • Completion of mental health evaluations in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements to determine a candidate’s ability to meet rigorous law enforcement training academy standards and fitness-for-duty evaluations.
  • Provide second and third opinions regarding reasonable accommodations deemed necessary to enable an employee to perform the central or essential functions of his / her job,
  • Hiring, training, and overseeing administrative assistants and scheduling mental health evaluators.
  • Promptly resolves questions and concerns raised by customer agencies in accordance with CFGHS Administration.
  • Establishes priorities based on CFGHS’s mission, vision, and values. Adjusts priorities based on client feedback. Ensures necessary tools and resources are in place to meet priority objectives.
  • Demonstrates independent and creative thinking, a high level of self-motivation, team orientation, professionalism, trustworthiness, and respect for others.
  • Ability to prepare reports and present facts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Develop or revise protocols and procedures utilized in the delivery of service.
  • Comply with employee policies, procedures and practices of CFG Health Systems.
  • Development and monitoring of CQI activities, including action plans with timeframes for completion and re-monitoring as necessary.
  • Provide reports to the Executive Director, highlighting potential risk areas to the company.
  • Ensures that clients are billed for services provided.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Licensed psychologist in the state of New Jersey.
  • Weekly hourly requirements must be met per contract.
  • 3-5 years of experience providing services in a correctional environment is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with psychological testing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supervising mental health clinicians.
  • Must pass applicable background clearances.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sound decision-making and critical thinking skills, keeping up with correctional and law enforcement health knowledge.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality, and trust.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with people at various professional levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities / tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a change of duties quickly and smoothly.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal direction or supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced level skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
