Pastry Chef

Kinzie Chophouse, a distinguished steakhouse since 1991, is searching for a part-time pastry chef to join our expanding team.  If you have a passion for culinary excellence and leadership, we want to hear from you.

You will work with our executive chef and culinary team to create the atmosphere and culture we want to present to our guests.  You must be reliable, organized, and ready to help us reach our goals!

Position Overview

The Pastry Chef will play a key role in preparing pastry and dessert elements. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to execute consistently at a high level. Creativity is welcome—this position provides room to contribute new ideas while working within a refined, modern kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Proven success creating sophisticated, plated desserts at scale without compromising quality
• Work with a variety of pastry techniques, including cakes, tarts, gels, and chocolate work.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portioning of all desserts and pastry items.
• Assist with menu development and contribute creative input to seasonal offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety standards in the pastry section.
• Support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
