What You'll Do
We're seeking a Medical Office Assistant II (MOA) to join our remarkable team at the Novant Health Medical Group Rheumatology Office in Wilmington, NC. This position plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care and supporting our providers in a dynamic oncology environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Providing Compassionate Support : Your empathy and calm demeanor can help alleviate anxiety and create a sense of comfort and continuity throughout their treatment journey.
Enhancing Clinical Efficiency : By managing patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures, you set the team up for success and ensure patients receive remarkable care.
Ensuring Coordinated Care : You are a vital link in the communication chain between the patient and the healthcare team. By accurately documenting information and coordinating appointments, you help ensure that every step of a patient's complex treatment plan is organized and seamless.
What We're Looking For
Education : High School or GED required. Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or a minimum of 2 year experience in a medical assistant role that included medication administration, required.
Experience : Previous work in a medical clinic, preferred.
Licensure / Certification : BLS / CPR (or earned within 90 days of hire), required. Annual UAP agreement with provider, required.
Additional Skills / Requirements (required) : Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
