Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading the planning, development and implementation of regional hospital strategic initiatives in Supply Chain Operations including quality, utilization, cost, working capital, day-to-day operations, service and human resource management.
It ensures compliance with established regional and national goals and standards. Additionally, this position acts as the key leader and driver of standardization and change management across the sites in the adoption and institutionalization of any Supply Chain transformation projects.
To be successful in this position, the Regional Director must be able to lead and manage professionals and others through influence and collaboration across multiple teams or sites.
A demonstrated proficiency in team building and motivation, conflict resolution, and group dynamics as well as solid project management skills is essential.
Also, this person must have a demonstrated ability to utilize effective verbal and written communication skills with various levels across an organization as well as across diverse populations.
Essential Functions
Provides on-going leadership and direction to enhance member service through the availability of needed products and services.
Ensures products and services are high quality, cost effective, with high service availability
- Achieves a high level of compliance regarding ScionHealth’s national standards for products / services
- Assists in development and adoption of any Supply Chain transformation project across the hospitals including all clinical areas (eg procedural and non-procedural)
- Develops and implements, in conjunction with facilities, an asset management strategy that delivers customer requirements, meets financial goals, and aligns with capital planning strategies
- Provides leadership on human resource management activities such as hiring, reward and recognition, performance review, professional development, succession planning, and progressive discipline.
Establishes and implements standards of performance relative to quality and service, and ensures standards exceed customer, hospital, and regulatory expectations Dedicated to Hope, Healing and Recovery
- Responsible for the development and implementation of relevant Hospital Division supply chain operating and capital budgets and achievement of KPIs and other strategic goals
- Provides leadership and collaboration within and outside of supply chain operations with multiple levels and groups across the organization
- This role will interact heavily with regional and corporate executive management teams; facility Materials Management;
key stakeholders and internal clients; Clinical Operations and other clinical staff as end-users; Supply Chain operations to help develop and present the business case for resources to implement changes within the region as well as helping to define the overall national approach and standard process
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Expectations
- Current Six Sigma certification preferred and / or 3 or more years process improvement experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies or similar.
- Must have the flexibility in work schedule to accommodate the teams they manage.
- Approximate percent of time required to travel : Up to 50%
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
$95,000 - $120,000 / annually
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
Licenses / Certification
- Green Belt Certification Preferred
- White Belt Certification Required
Experience
5 or more years of experience in supply chain, management and budgeting experience,
including managing / leading non-exempt and exempt employees.
- 3 or more years of experience in demand planning, SKU rationalization and standardization.
- 2 or more years of experience dealing with multiple corporate structures, entities and / or
multi-facility or location oversight
- 3 or more years working in a retail, manufacturing, or health care environment preferred
