We are hiring for Maintenance Techs in the West Chicago Suburb area. This position is for 2nd shift and at a manufacturing company .

Thisis direct hire placement with pay range of $25-$30 an hour ( salary depends on Experience) and this position requires Manufacturing Maintenance experience.

Job Details

Performs repairs and troubleshooting on equipment to include,

but not limited to : Vertical & Horizontal Form, Fill & Seal Machines, conveyors,

metal detectors, X-Ray detectors, checkweighers / scales, labeling systems, bag

sealers, ribbon blenders, sifters and pneumatic pressure conveying systems.

Requirements

Installs or replaces motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, belts, filters, gears, chains and valves

Rebuilds valves, pumps and gearboxes.

Troubleshoots pneumatic, electric and hydraulic machine problems and makes necessary repairs

Ability to utilize electrical hand tools and devices to find short circuits and electrical faults.

Performs repairs to machines involving machine guarding, bolt replacement and breakdowns to mechanical wear.

Performs preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, drives chains, etc..

Handles installations, including hooking up air, water, gas and the alignment and leveling equipment.

Acts as a lead by training, mentoring and providing guidance to less experienced and hourly Maintenance employees.

Effectively reads & understands mechanical and electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Communicates effectively and professionally with superiors, peers and representatives from other departments.
