Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Google Kubernetes Engineer position for our client in Phoenix, AZ .

Duration : 12 months

Duties :

Design, deploy, and manage scalable containerized applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Implement CI / CD pipelines and automate deployment processes within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and workloads for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to ensure infrastructure consistency and compliance.

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools to standardize environment provisioning.

Support upgrades, patching, and configuration management across multiple Kubernetes environments.

Skills :

Strong hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Proficiency with Kubernetes architecture, Helm charts, and container orchestration concepts.

Experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and automation scripting (Python, Bash).

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Stackdriver.

Understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.

Experience :

5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.

3+ years working specifically with GCP and Kubernetes (GKE preferred).

Proven experience supporting production workloads in a large-scale, distributed environment.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer or GCP Kubernetes certification a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
