Location : Hialeah, FL (On-site)

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial transactions. This role requires strong knowledge of 3-way matching, invoice reconciliation, and month-end reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Process and review high-volume invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests with accuracy and efficiency.
Perform 3-way matching (PO, invoice, and receiving documentation) in the ERP system to verify proper authorization and coding.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Prepare and process weekly and monthly accounts payable reports, including aging and accruals.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities by assisting with journal entries and reconciliations.
Maintain compliance with internal accounting procedures and external regulations.
Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounting departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files and documentation.
Identify and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Education : High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience : 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting role.
Technical Skills :
Strong knowledge of 3-way match and AP workflows.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles.
Soft Skills :
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
