User Analysis/Application Tester

W2 pay rate : up to $55 / hr - Medical benefits optional - our client does not allow c2c or 1099 consultants so you will be a W2 employee of Strategic Staffing Solutions.

Work Location : Des Moines, IA 50314

6 month contract with opportunity for extension and opportunity for conversion to FTE

Resume MUST demonstrate Testing and Citrix experience

• The ideal candidate must have experience testing desktop / windows based applications and some knowledge and experience with Citrix.
• Since this role requires some travel between sites in the Des Moines area, you must have your own vehicle and valid drivers license.
• Mileage is reimbursed at .67 cents per mile between sites only; never from home to a site.Always use hospital as the starting point.

Job description :

The applications being tested are vendor written applications ranging from Microsoft to Zoom, the UAT role is validating what is needed to allow the application to work when run on computers on a different domain on separate networks.

Testing would consist of evaluating the application, its requirements and presentation method e.g from a locally installed application, web site or Citrix front end.

• Review and analyze system specifications to understand the application requirements
• Validate what is needed to allow application to operate effectively on different domains and separate networks
• Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on the requirements - Testing includes evaluating an application, its requirements and presentation method (e.

g. from a locally installed application, website or Citrix front end)

• Execute test cases and analyze the results to identify defects
• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously resolved defects do not reoccur Requirements
• 5+ years of experience testing Desktop / Windows based applications (i.e. Microsoft Applications, Zoom, etc.) functionality on varying domains and networks o Deep understanding of how these applications function, differentiations on delivery of these applications, and how to test them
• Some knowledge / experience with Citrix
• Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
