The Production Supervisor is an experienced frontline leader responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, driving performance, and ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.
This role coordinates personnel, materials, and equipment across one or more shifts, ensuring that production schedules are met while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The Production Supervisor leads and develops hourly employees, fosters teamwork, and supports a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitors and evaluates production operations to ensure products meet quality and customer requirements.
- Responsible for key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Productivity, Scrap, Quality, and Scheduled Hours.
- Oversees daily shift operations, ensuring adherence to production plans, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Communicates effectively with team members regarding priorities, product changes, and machine assignments.
- Supervises, trains, and develops hourly, non-exempt employees to achieve performance and growth objectives.
- Coordinates production activities with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Materials / Logistics, Maintenance, and Safety.
- Onboards and mentors new employees following M&M Industries’ best practices in training and development.
- Leads initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale through Lean tools and structured problem-solving.
- Implements and sustains Systematic Workplace Organization, Autonomous Maintenance, and Safety Initiatives.
- Supports continuous improvement projects using Kaizen, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
