Advantra is partnering with an enterprise IT services startup in Phoenix to hire a ServiceNow Portal Developer to build and optimize user-facing portals and integrations using ServiceNow Service Portal.
About the role
You will design and develop ServiceNow portals with custom widgets, workflows, and API integrations. The role involves working with Service Portal, React.js, and modern web technologies to deliver intuitive and high-performing user experiences. You will collaborate with UX designers and system administrators to enhance functionality, scalability, and maintainability across ServiceNow environments.
Responsibilities
Design and build user-friendly ServiceNow Service Portal interfaces.
Develop and customize widgets using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Integrate ServiceNow with external systems via REST APIs.
Create workflows and automate service request processes.
Optimize performance and usability of ServiceNow portals.
Collaborate with UX and backend teams on portal enhancements.
Troubleshoot and resolve portal-related issues and bugs.
Maintain documentation for portal architecture and custom components.
Support version upgrades and ensure backward compatibility.
Core requirements
At least 6 years of ServiceNow development experience.
Strong experience building custom ServiceNow Service Portals.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React.js.
Experience developing custom widgets and handling complex UX scenarios.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using APIs.
Proven understanding of ServiceNow workflows and scripting.
Familiarity with ServiceNow module customization and maintenance.
Experience in optimizing performance and page load times.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow best practices and architecture.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Nice to have
Experience with AngularJS or Vue.js in ServiceNow environments.
Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, or HRSD modules.
Knowledge of ServiceNow performance tuning and logging tools.
Experience with CI / CD automation for ServiceNow deployments.
Background in UX design or portal usability testing.
