POSITION PURPOSE :

The Sr. Graphic Designer, leads our design team in creating compelling visual content across various mediums. They oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring our projects exceed client expectations.

The ideal candidate will be a creative visionary with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality designs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
• Manages the Brand Style Guide creation, ongoing management, and leadership in adherence from cross-functional teams and external agencies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside agencies to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Owner of the Marketing Review Process, shepherding the broader Marketing Team and external agencies through the process to ensure that projects are approved by appropriate stakeholders on time and on brief.
• Develop creative strategy and concepts, layouts, and visual designs for print, digital, animation, video, photography, illustrations, experiential events, and internal decks.
• Be the subject matter expert with industry trends and best practices in design and technology.
• Review and approve designs, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and resources effectively.
• Work closely with the Marketing Team to develop cohesive campaigns that resonate with the target audience.
• Oversee the production process, working with vendors and printers to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Stay informed about advancements in AI technology and explore opportunities to integrate AI into design projects.
• Other activities, duties or responsibilities that are assigned by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS :

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and / or experience required.

Education / Work Experience :

BA / BS degree in Graphic Design preferred, or similar educational experience in Design or related field. 7+ years design experience in restaurant or multi-unit concepts that have frequent product launches and concurrent campaigns throughout the year.

Client side or agency experience welcomed. Experience with franchisees preferred. Exceptional leadership skills with track record of success in leading, managing, coaching, and developing high performance teams.

License / Certifications :

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
• Experience with traditional, print, digital, animation, video, photography, and illustrations.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design trends.
• Experience with AI technologies and their application in design projects is a plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to travel locally within Southern California and to out-of-state restaurant locations, as needed by car or airplane.
