Applications Systems Engineer / ERP Systems Engineer

Not a remote position. The team is HYBRID 3-4 days in-office at 125 S Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60606

This is a permanent, W2 position (not Corp2Corp / subcontracting).

Summary :

This is a hands-on, application role responsible for supporting modern cloud platforms, enterprise applications and application integration needs for Addison Group businesses.

Addison Group leverages Salesforce, NetSuite, Mulesoft, and other applications to drive our enterprise environment.

An ideal candidate will have a passion for technology applications and continuous learning. They will have a background in supporting a mid-market CRM / ERP platform, and the ideal candidate will enjoy working broadly support our enterprise application environment.

Candidate should be passionate about learning, detail orientated, with good planning & organization skills.

Their duties include optimizing software application performance, installing updates and performing debugging procedures.

The Application Systems Engineer must demonstrate proficiency in three primary skills : analytical, technical, and interpersonal.

They will work with end users as well as with other IT professionals and will act as liaison between vendors and IT as well as provide 3rd level support for all supported applications.

Responsibilities :

• Support Addison enterprise applications by managing incoming requests, developing enhancements, integrating the platform with Salesforce and / or Microsoft Teams, and supporting larger (more complex) initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out enhancements and / or integrations.
• Develop, test, and deploy application customizations and new functionality based on changing business needs.
• Understand the company's goals to optimize application environment and help develop efficient technical processes to achieve this goal.
• Provide internal, on-going system / technical support to users, including training, maintaining proper system access for all roles and user requests for new saved searches, reports, KPIs, and dashboards for NetSuite, MS Teams, Power BI and other tools.

Required Competency, Skills, & Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance or related field is preferred.
• 2-4+ years’ experience supporting and developing enhancement on enterprise platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, OpenAir, SAP, MS Great Plains.
• Proven scripting experience in technologies such as SuiteScript, vbScript, or PowerShell. Java, C#, or Python experience a bonus.
• Experience developing API integrations with tools such as MuleSoft.
• Project management experience implementing new applications.
• An excellent communicator in both written and verbal and are able to communicate effectively with all levels of the business.
• Possess exceptional planning and organizational skills, and have a keen sense for detail, accuracy and problem solving.
• Passionate about learning, developing, and modern technologies.
• A desire to be hands on.
