We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), handle general accounting duties, utilize Excel for data analysis, and maintain the SAP system efficiently. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities :

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) : Oversee invoice processing, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate billing records.
• Review AP invoices, compare with purchase orders, and book invoices.
• Collaborate with the Operations team and vendors to resolve invoice disputes and discrepancies.
• Ensure positive vendor and customer relations through effective communication.
• Handle all collection efforts and maintain current receivables.
• Communicate credit or collection issues with customers and sales teams.
• Perform general accounting duties : Record debits and credits, maintain the general ledger, and prepare financial statements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform month-end closing tasks, including posting journal entries.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as Vlookups and formulas, for data analysis and reporting.
• Maintain and organize the SAP system, streamlining processes for efficiency.
• Address backlog in payments and improve the payment process.
• Post banking transactions and reconcile bank statements with the general ledger.

Work Environment :

This role offers a flexible work environment with work-from-home options on Wednesdays and Fridays. Standard hours are 8 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 6 : 30 PM, with some weekend support required during month-end. Overtime opportunities are available for those interested in earning extra. Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, California.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $43.26 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
