We are seeking an Oracle Hyperion Planning Consultant to join our team.
This role will involve supporting, enhancing, and optimizing Oracle Hyperion Planning applications to drive accurate financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in Oracle Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Smart View, and Financial Data Management (FDMEE) , and a passion for enterprise performance management and financial analytics .

Job Description :
As an Oracle Hyperion Planning Consultant , you will play a key role in managing and enhancing the organization's enterprise performance management (EPM) systems. You will support end-users, lead upgrades or integrations, and ensure the Hyperion environment aligns with business and financial objectives. The Oracle Hyperion Planning Consultant will collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to maintain high availability, accuracy, and performance of planning applications.
Key Responsibilities :
System Support & Administration
Manage daily operations of the Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase environments.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity and availability.
Maintain metadata, business rules, calculation scripts, and security access.
Coordinate with Oracle support for patches, upgrades, and system fixes.
Application Enhancement & Optimization
Develop and maintain data forms, business rules, and web forms within Hyperion Planning.
Work closely with finance teams to enhance models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis .
Implement process improvements and automation within the planning and reporting environment.
Collaborate with IT and functional teams to integrate Hyperion Planning with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, data warehouses).
Data Management & Reporting
Support data loads using FDMEE or Data Management from source systems to Hyperion.
Create and maintain reports using Smart View, FR Reports, and ad hoc queries .
Validate financial data accuracy and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Provide guidance to business users on best practices for data entry and reporting.
Project & Stakeholder Collaboration
Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, and documentation for enhancements and upgrades.
Serve as a liaison between finance and technical teams to ensure alignment on business objectives.
Train end-users and prepare documentation for Hyperion Planning processes and system use.
Lead small projects or initiatives related to Hyperion upgrades, automation, or optimization.
Continuous Improvement
Stay current on Oracle EPM Cloud and on-premise product updates and recommend adoption strategies.
Identify and implement opportunities for improving system performance and usability.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies within the planning system environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
7+ years of experience in Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase administration and development.
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes .
Experience with Smart View , FDMEE , and Calculation Manager .
Proficiency in data integration between Hyperion and ERP systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of EPM Cloud (PBCS / EPBCS) is a plus.
