Procurement Specialist

Vaco is working with a leading and innovative player in the energy sector. As theycontinue to grow and expandoperations, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Specialist to join the team.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with various departments to understand procurement needs and develop effective procurement strategies.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimal pricing and contract terms for goods and services.
• Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular supplier reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.
• Stay informed about market trends, new technologies, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review and negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions.

Requirements : .

• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role within the energy industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
• Familiarity with energy industry regulations and standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CIPS) will be considered a plus.
