Lead Licensing Specialist

Job Location : 1600 W Monroe St Phoenix, AZ 85007

Salary : $55,000 / yr ($26.44 / hr), Grade : 17, Closing Date : Until filled

Job Summary : The Lead Licensing Specialist serves as the team lead, subject matter expert, and an escalation point-of-contact for the Licensing and Registration Team, which is responsible for receiving, maintaining, and processing requests for licenses, tobacco stamp orders, and bonds.

This position does not have direct reports, but does serve as a team lead. It is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona.

Responsibilities include :

• Leading the Licensing and Registration Team as a subject-matter expert and first point of escalation
• Coordinating workflow for the team
• Providing peer mentoring to junior team members
• Providing backup monitoring for the supervisor as needed
• Contributing to a positive team culture
• Processing requests for bonds, licenses, and tobacco stamp orders
• Serving as a point-of-contact for taxpayers
• Remaining current on laws, regulations, policies, and best practices related to taxation
• Actively contributing to team and individual effectiveness
