Job Title : Senior QA Engineer (Manual)

Summary : We're on the lookout for a Senior QA Engineer with a strong focus on backend testing. This role involves defining, planning, leading, and executing project testing activities, particularly centered around backend and data validation.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our applications as we transition from legacy systems to modern platforms, coordinating with stakeholders and running update meetings as necessary.

Essential Functions :

• Lead Quality Assurance (QA) activities for complex application and system implementation projects, including integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, scenarios, suites, and cases, with a particular emphasis on backend and data validation.
• Analyze and evaluate test results and defects, working closely with development teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate test schedules, environments, and configuration requirements.
• Provide testing estimates for resource allocation and timelines.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Project Managers to ensure test coverage aligns with project requirements.
• Track and report QA metrics for projects.
• Provide input on production release decisions.
• Drive established QA practices and methodologies, aiming for consistency across projects.
• Collaborate with QA Manager and QA Team to develop and improve QA capabilities and services.
• Monitor and evaluate QA activities, guiding and coaching teams in applicable testing practices.
• Oversee test automation usage to optimize project quality and delivery.

Skills and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 6+ years of QA experience in IT, with 3-5 years in a large enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in software test tools, including Postman and SQL tools.
• Experience with SDLC, agile, and waterfall methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of QA processes, practices, and systems.
• Ability to coordinate and lead QA activities across multiple projects.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) / Visual Studio Test Professional and Microsoft Test Manager is beneficial.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics is a plus.
• Development background is advantageous.

This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a deep understanding of backend testing, particularly with SQL and data validation.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in ongoing modernization projects, ensuring the quality and functionality of applications.
