Staff Accountant (Accounting Operations) - Carmel Onsite

Salary Range : $23.27 - $34.91 Hourly

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group is hiring a Staff Accountant Accounting Operations to responsible for handling incoming and outgoing cash, processing day- to-day transactions and maintaining accurate records. This role may also assist in daily cash reconciliations and other general ledger responsibilities.

This is your opportunity to assist with testing and gathering documentation for projects.

As a Staff Accountant Accounting Operations, your responsibilities will include :

Prepare, distribute and process cash transaction on a daily basis.

Record miscellaneous bank transactions in the general ledger.

Monitor and respond to internal customer inquiries.

Assist in researching out of balances in general ledger accounts.

Monitor suspense transactions and clear outstanding items.

Assist EXL offshore team members with accounting responsibilities.

Assist with internal / external audits.

The Staff Accountant Accounting Operations position is well-suited for you if you :

Have a basic accounting knowledge.

Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Possess a solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Have a strong attention to detail.

Prioritize and meet deadlines.

Work independently as well as with a team.

What you'll need :

High School Diploma required.

One year of work-related experience.

What will set you apart :

Prior accounting experience preferred.

Experience with enterprise accounting technology.

Experience with process improvement.

Associate’s or Bachelors’ degree preferred.

This role is affiliated to the Carmel corporate office, and candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of that corporate office and will be required to come into that office.
