Position Summary :

Yunker Industries, Inc. is looking for a Manager of our Digital Print Department to assist the Operations Manager in overseeing our Digital Print / Finishing operations and prepress, color matching, linearization, job profiles, and file prep.

The ideal candidate will have direct hands-on experience operating large format digital printing equipment as well as supervisory experience, both in a fast-paced environment.

The Digital Print Manager is a detail-oriented, competent individual able to direct team members’ in day-to-day activities, ensure quality and timely services, able to jump in train and mentor new operators and production art staff as well as troubleshoot equipment issues with operators or manufacture of presses.

Essential Duties Responsibilities :

• Oversees the digital print department which consists of large format hybrid presses and other print equipment.
• Responsible for prepress duties including file prep, color matching, job profile set up, cut files, etc.
• Supervision and assistance of press operations and Production Art team to ensure daily production schedule is executed on time.
• Responsible for quality standards and client requirements.
• Inspects work in progress and finished materials to see that quality meets established standards and customer brand colors
• Supervises and participates in digital press operations and trains employees in the operation of printing equipment.
• Reviews and supports daily production schedule requirements, monitors progress, and communicates scheduling issues.
• Manages material and ink inventory usage and maintains accurate inventory accounting.
• Prepares complete and accurate shipping documents and BOL’s.
• Creates and documents SOPs for equipment and processes within the department.
• Sets daily / weekly / monthly objectives and communicate them to the team.
• Ensures the safety guidelines are being followed
• Identifies issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Maintains daily print job production logs, prepare departmental delivery manifests as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating digital printing equipment, managing prepress duties in a digital print environment, and supervising a team.
• Associate degree or higher in graphic communication, graphic design, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must have sheet and roll digital printing and departmental inventory control experience.
• A good understanding of color and four-color process.
• History of initiating change and improvement.
• Ability to be flexible with work hours, including some overtime .
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Suite programs, Microsoft Office.

This position requires the ability to pass substance testing and a federal government background and credit check. Must be a citizen of the United States of America.
