Position Summary
The Quality Engineer supports the Quality Department in ensuring that products and processes meet Ultra Corpotech Inc.'s internal quality standards, customer specifications, and ISO 9001 requirements. This role assists in Day-to-day management of quality and process requirements, Training of employees, corrective and preventive actions, creating and maintaining documentation, continuous improvement initiatives, 8D reports, customer & supplier audits. The position is ideal for a recent engineering graduate or an early-career professional seeking to develop technical and analytical expertise in a competitive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Process Control
- Support daily production quality checks and audits on the manufacturing floor.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of inspection and testing procedures.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor trends in quality and process performance.
- Ensure that nonconformances are documented, investigated, and properly resolved.
- Supplier evaluation and audits.
- Internal audits & maintaining compliance.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain quality records, calibration logs, and controlled documents in accordance with internal QMS requirements.
- Support the creation and revision of work instructions, forms, and quality documentation.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in preparing for external customer and ISO audits.
- Root Cause & Corrective Action
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues.
- Support the implementation and tracking of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Follow up with production teams to verify effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Continuous Improvement
- Participate in lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve process capability, and enhance product quality.
- Contribute ideas for improving inspection efficiency and overall product reliability.
- Customer & Supplier Support
- Assist in reviewing supplier certifications, materials, and quality performance.
- Support customer complaint investigations and assist in reporting corrective actions.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Qualifications
- Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
- Internship or coursework experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering preferred.
- Basic understanding of quality management systems and principles.
- Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and statistical methods a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic understanding of ERP or MRP systems.

Working Conditions
Manufacturing and office environment with regular exposure to production operations. Requires frequent walking and standing on the shop floor. Occasional weekend work may be required to meet project or audit deadlines.
