We have an immediate opening for a Facilities Technician II (Cold Side). This position offers results-driven people a place where they can make a difference - every day! The ideal candidate will have expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, ice machines, preventative maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance, and repair.

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING :

As an integral member of the Facilities Team, this position is responsible for :

  • Manage day-to-day facility operations and maintenance across multiple sites within an expansive geographic area.
  • Efficiently handle a substantial volume of service requests, prioritizing tasks to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with facilities management and operations teams to assess facility requirements and project planning.
  • Supervise facility maintenance contracts and oversee preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Administer the facility work order system, ensuring timely assignment and completion of all work orders.
  • Serve on a rotating on-call schedule for facility issues once a month.
  • Serve as the primary contact for vendors and contractors, managing vendor relationships and ensuring contract compliance and service delivery.
  • Accurately input and track data in the work order system to monitor service requests and assign tasks to the appropriate providers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, ice machines, electrical systems, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems to identify and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated.

HERE’S WHAT Education & Experience YOU WILL NEED :

  • Proven experience in HVAC, refrigeration, ice machines, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Capability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
