Position : Human Resources Specialist Distribution Center
DEPARTMENT : Human Resources
Reports To : Human Resources Manager Distribution Center
Job Responsibilities :
- Establish working relationships with all departments and internal customers and promote the Core Values of the organization.
- Promptly conducts investigations pursuant to concerns and allegations of ethical wrongdoing or conflicts of interest. Prepares written investigative reports as necessary.
- Assists team with enrollment of eligible associates and their benefit deductions as well as answer general questions regarding benefit plans and eligibility guidelines
- Handle and / or direct associate inquiries regarding various company policies
- Maintain and update building communication channels and boards with relevant current events and postings
- Executes human resources tactics, including recordkeeping, talent development, promotions, employee relations, terminations, exit interviews, safety & workers compensation, attendance & PTO, etc.
in accordance with Company procedures and applicable legal requirements.
Is a key contributor to the full cycle talent acquisition process, including applicant sourcing, recruiting & advertising, outreach events, building and maintaining effective relationship with local agencies and staffing partners.
Leads the site-side pre-employment screening, interviewing, and onboarding process
Participate in retention / engagement events and compliance activities as assigned and creates, follows-up and monitors action plans.
Provides leadership to execute building events and associate recognition programs.
Assist with special HR projects as assigned and provide general support to HR Manager and the operations team.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in human resources preferred
- Must be able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced fluid environment, prioritizing work load as changes occur
- Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter
- Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems / databases
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, solving problems in a creative manner
- Strong organization, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with employment laws and practices including : FMLA, ADA, AAP, FLSA, EEOC
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.), knowledge of Kronos
