Job Description
FranFund is a fast-growing financial services company and we’re searching for a marketing intern to join our expanding marketing team.
From day one, this individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals.
The ideal candidate will have prior practical or classroom experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media.
The marketing intern must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
Objectives of this Role
- Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy
- Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
- Support the development and execution of sales and marketing materials, adapting scopes, timelines, and deliverables as needed for maximum benefit
- Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
- Provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Take part in brainstorming sessions, offering analytical insights to develop and plan creative marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness
- Collaborate with team members to optimize marketing automation and lead-nurturing processes through email, content, events, and social channels
- Assist in execution of marketing plans to reach target audience through identified channels
- Assist in development and execution of marketing campaigns, including content creation, new product launches, social media, and sales enablement
- Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape, and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
- Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, especially InDesign
- Experience in video and content editing
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
- Working knowledge of HTML and design and email software
- Working knowledge of marketing automation tools HubSpot preferred
- Experience with graphic design and photography
Time Commitment
The estimated time commitment will be 20-30 hours per week, but may vary based on need. Scheduling is flexible, but we prefer the work to be performed in 4-hour blocks or more.
The initial time period is for the Summer, but success in the role may lead to a continuation of the role into the Fall semester.
