Application Support Specialist
The Application Specialist manages IT projects as assigned by the IT Manager. This person will be the technical liaison between all business units and the IT department and will work to resolve and coordinate software installations, upgrades, and new software initiatives.
- Job Functions / Responsibilities : Provide support to end-users for common office software applications.
- Software applications supported include : Microsoft Office 365, SolidWorks, CRM(s), DocuWare, Epicor, IIS
- Research applications errors and implement solutions.
- Work with external support providers to resolve complex issues
- Assist end-users with remote accessibility issues.
- Provide software support for hand-held devices ie barcode scanners
- Communicate effectively with both unskilled and skilled end users.
- Handle sensitive and / or confidential documents and information.
- Communicate with manager and client on job or deadline issues.
- Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree (Computer & Management Information Systems or Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum two years experience in a corporate helpdesk environment.
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and / or Outlook certifications desired, but not required.
- ERP Experience preferred, not limited to : Epicor, SAGE, Oracle
- Web development languages desired but not limited to : HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, PHP, SQL Queries, JavaScript
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that can be loud with heavy machinery.
- Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
