The responsibilities of this role include :
- Managing operating, maintenance and construction activities completed through our Facilities Management program and external vendors that ensures services are responsive and cost effective; including routine maintenance to complex projects as it relates to building facilities
- Providing customer service that supports business, employee and departmental needs and initiatives while maintaining a safe, healthy, functional workplace
- Developing and tracking Capital and Operations & Maintenance budget and forecasts for facility portfolio
- Providing emergency response to facilities issues i.e., electrical, security, life, fire and safety alarm systems
- Overseeing inspecting, repairing, and maintaining light industrial and commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment for large buildings including automated building management systems (such as Tridium and Siemens)
- Formulating strategic business plans, action plans and deliver business previews to Leadership
Qualifications :
Four (4) or more years' experience, along with a university degree, OR a combination of formal education, certification and experienceBackground in a technical field (i.e., HVAC / Plumbing / Electrical) is preferredProven experience in progressive positions with demonstrated leadership skillsLeadership experience leading work plans and deliverables, as well as contractors and vendorsUnderstanding of building codes, industry standards and compliance requirementsStrong interpersonal skills to build relationships across departments & with regional managementSelf starter with strong attention to detailUnderstanding of building operations, building systems and occupant servicesWorking Conditions :
Daily travel as required throughout North Carolina to various site locations - company vehicle is provided; limited overnight travelClean driving record requiredAbility to adjust hours for operational support and participate in on-call responseOvertime as required to meet the demands of the rolePhysical Requirements :
Grasping, kneeling, light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of timeMental Requirements :
