Hoover Building, Washington, D.C. Remote / telework MAY be authorized. Celestar Corporation, a company which proudly provides % of employee health care premiums, is seeking an IT Security Engineer II for the Department of Commerce.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and approximately two to six years of experience. MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE :
- Perform vulnerability / risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
- Forensically acquire digital evidence and examine data pertaining to the function of hardware and software devices in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems.
- Support data management and processing requests.
- Perform testing of computer hardware and software.
- Research computer science-related policies and protocols, conduct necessary benchmarking, and develop or refine procedures for assessing the effectiveness of data processing processes.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- Knowledge commensurate with a subject matter expert in the field of computer and mobile device network security as it pertains to computer hardware and software, including understanding various operating systems (such as Windows, UNIX, iOS and Android) and network hardware and infrastructure.
- Experience conducting computer network vulnerability, penetration testing or log analysis and proficient using open source software exploitation tools.
- At least two to six years of experience
