Responsibilities
- The candidate will work within the engineering group for a few months before transitioning to the production floor.
- Facilitate the flow of products through the production process.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process.
- Identify potential technical or manufacturing risks and mitigate issues.
- Lead projects related to the introduction of new products in production.
- Complete the production and manufacturing of products using hand tools, fabrication techniques and on-the-job training.
- Use critical thinking to objectively evaluate information and make informed decisions.
- Assist in production planning and scheduling.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong problem-solving skills with aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.Collaborative, able to work with engineering, technicians, machinists and quality control.Proficiency in CAD software is preferred.Ability to inspect parts using typical inspection tools and techniques.Attention to detail at a high level is required.Experience working from prints is required.Strong commitment to achieving quality work.Team player who will pitch in where needed to get the job done.Must be organized and maintain a clean working environment.Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experienceLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training is preferredAerospace and Defense industry experience is a plusU.S. citizenship required, with ability to possess a security clearanceWhy join Haigh-Farr?
