Position
The main responsibilities are to drive customers in an open-top double-decker bus on designated routes in New York City while prioritizing safety, efficiency and adhering to company schedule, routes, and procedures.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Report on time to the depot as scheduled in required uniform
- Perform a Pre-trip inspection of your assigned bus including checking fluids, fuel bus, ensure bus is clean and ready for passengers
- Follow the given route as scheduled under the direction of the dispatcher
- Stop at every bus stop on the route (regardless of whether or not passengers are present)
- Maintain the safety of the bus and passengers at all times during the tour
- Follow all state and Federal traffic and DOT laws rules/regulations
- Report any incidents or accidents immediately per company policy
- Maintain a professional driving style, presentation and demeanor whenever in uniform
- Provide customer service to passengers
- To carry out any other task as reasonably requested
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Knowledge of greater New York streets & highways
- Knowledge of Big Bus Tours products and attractions
- CDL with air brakes and passenger endorsement
- DOT Medical certification and drug tested
- 19A Qualified
- At least two years of driving experience-Insurance Requirement
- Reliability and accountability
