As a Security Officer - Unarmed Logistics Patrol Specialist in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the site. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and delivering outstanding customer service to everyone on site. What You'll Do : Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities : Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or prohibited activities within the logistics and distribution environment. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and visitors as needed. Complete required reports and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements : Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
