Parent Coach
Compensation : $38,000 - $40,000
This is a community-based position. Travel to homes and throughout the community is required

- 22 Days of Paid Time Off
- 12 Paid Holidays
- Half-Day Fridays during the summer

Responsibilities
- Work directly with the assigned Home Based Caseworker and / or Therapist to assist in meeting the needs of the referred client(s).
- Assist assigned families with time management, life skill development, transportation, child development education, home management, nutrition, child supervision, and problem solving.
- Supervise visitations of children who are not living with their birth families if needed.
- Advocate on behalf of the families for the successful reunification and / or prevention of out of home placement of the children living in the home.
- Assist and support excellence in public relations with referral agencies, the court system, and system partners.
- Work collaboratively with the NYAP team.
- Complete all required paperwork per agency policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Associate’s Degree in social services is preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working directly with youth and families is preferred. Experience working with troubled and needy youth / families is preferred.
- Openness to traveling as needed; available to work a flexible schedule required
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
- Works well independently and as a team member.
- Multi-task efficiently and be flexible in all situations.
Driving and Vehicle Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Good driving record
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000 / $300,000 bodily injury liability
