Overview : We areseeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to joinour finance team. The Assistant Controller will play a key role infinancial management reporting and analysis supporting theController and contributing to the overall success of theorganization.
Responsibilities :
FinancialReporting : Assist in the preparation and analysis offinancial statements including balance sheets income statements andcash flow statements.
Ensure accuracy compliance with accountingstandards and timelyreporting.
Budgeting andForecasting : Support the budgeting process bygathering data analyzing trends and assisting in the development ofcomprehensive budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor performanceagainst budget and provide insights fordecisionmaking.
InternalControls : Help establish and maintain effectiveinternal control procedures to safeguard company assets ensureaccuracy of financial data and comply with regulatory requirements.
Assist in identifying and implementing processimprovements.
MonthEndClose : Participate in the monthend close processincluding journal entries account reconciliations and varianceanalysis.
Work closely with accounting team members to ensuredeadlines are met and financial results are accuratelyrecorded.
- FinancialAnalysis : Conduct thorough financial analysis tosupport decisionmaking and strategic planning. Identify keyperformance indicators (KPIs) trends and areas for improvement andpresent findings tomanagement.
- AuditSupport : Assist in the coordination of externalaudits providing documentation answering inquiries and ensuringcompliance with audit requirements.
Collaborate with auditors tofacilitate a smooth auditprocess.
TeamLeadership : Supervise and mentor junior accountingstaff providing guidance training and support as needed. Foster acollaborative and productive work environment conducive toprofessional growth anddevelopment.
Qualifications :
- Bachelorsdegree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA designationpreferred.
- 5 years of progressive experience inaccounting or finance roles with a focus on financial reporting andanalysis.
- Strong understanding of GAAPprinciples internal controls and financial bestpractices.
- Proficiency in accounting software(e.g. QuickBooks SAP) and advanced Excelskills.
- Excellent analytical skills attentionto detail and ability to interpret complex financialdata.
- Effective communication skills bothverbal and written with the ability to present findings to diverseaudiences.
- Proven leadership abilities withexperience in supervising and mentoringstaff.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpacedenvironment manage multiple priorities and meet tightdeadlines.
