What You’ll Do : As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for generating and managing purchase orders with contract manufacturers based on demand forecasts and lead times.
You will :
- Manage production and transit lead times in system
- Generate PO’s based on demand forecasts
- Manage inventory levels by SKU and DC
- Manage schedules by week, prioritizing CM shipping schedule based on change in business needs
- Communicate material shortage or excess as necessary throughout the organization
- Lead supply meetings with CM’s or internal teams for categories owned
- Partner with Demand Planning, Sales, and Product Management to collectively make decisions that minimize the negative financial impact.
- Achieve KPI’s (e.g. DOS, Supplier on-time delivery)
What You’ll Need to be Successful :
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, sum-ifs, conditional formatting, lookups).
- Strong problem-solving skills : ability to analyze situations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to present ideas in an easy-to-understand engaging manner.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Organized, detail-oriented; able to prioritize effectively.
- Able to adapt to changing job requirements.
- Able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Able to complete projects under tight deadlines, even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
- BA / BS degree plus 2+ years of supply chain experience or 5+ years of supply chain-related experience.
- Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
