  • Collaborative Teamwork : Partner closely with lead teachers to bring individualized educational plans (IEPs) to life, ensuring each student's unique needs are met.
  • Direct Support : Provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks and expertly manage behavioral crises, offering unwavering support to students during classroom activities to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Positive Communication : Harness the power of positive behavior support strategies to cultivate essential social skills, enhance communication abilities, and promote independence among students.
  • Cultivating a Supportive Atmosphere : Cultivate a warm, supportive atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to embrace their journey of learning and growth.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Thoroughly document student progress and maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring everyone is informed and involved in each student's educational journey.

  • Age requirement : Must be 18 years or older to be eligible for employment
  • Education : High School Diploma or GED required
  • Driver’s license : Valid driver’s license required
  • Availability : M-F 8am-4am
  • Interpersonal Skills : Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards individuals with diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Qualities : Reliability, compassion, and patience, coupled with a genuine passion for making a positive impact in people’s lives
  • Adaptability : Ability to adjust to varying needs, preferences, and communication styles of those we support
  • Flexibility : Capacity to adapt to changing environments and respond effectively to unexpected situations
