Job Description :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director of Brand Management to lead the management of our refreshed McDermott Will & Schulte brand. We are an award-winning, data-driven Marketing, Brand and Communications, and Business Development team supporting one of the fastest growing and top law firms in the US with a global reach. Reporting to the Director of Brand and working closely with other department leaders, this role will oversee the strategies, platforms and processes required to propel and protect the McDermott Will & Schulte brand.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Brand Governance and Education : Establish and maintain brand guidelines, governance structures and platforms (e.g., Brand Center) and education and training strategies to ensure consistent application across internal and external communications. Act as the brand steward, providing oversight and feedback on materials, campaigns, and initiatives.Brand Intelligence : Monitor the competitive landscape and brand performance through metrics, market research, and competitive analysis. Utilize insights to inform strategies and optimize brand-related initiatives.Branded Merchandise and Activations : Develop and manage the firm's approach to swag, including the sourcing of items for premier experiences and events. Collaborate with Procurement and other teams to maintain an "always on" inventory of items for our brand e-store. Identify and implement experiential activation ideas that can be used at events to showcase our brand in action.Messaging and Copywriting : Collaborate with content, creative marketing, business development, and communications teams to develop verbal strategies and copy for advertising and brand messaging that enhance brand perception and client engagement.Team Leadership and Coaching : Focus on developing a best-in-class team including ensuring skills and capabilities meet the needs of the department and firm, determining career paths, defining professional development goals, and providing coaching and training.Innovation : Bring new and innovative ideas related to brands, events, campaigns, content development, digital marketing, data analytics, effective technology and Generative AI.Job Specifications :
At least ten years of experienceMulti-year experience in a brand-focused role at a professional services firm or brand agencyIn-depth knowledge of the role that brand (and its elements) can play in driving a strategy forwardProven experience in a senior brand role, preferably within management consulting, big four accounting, or brand agencies.Experience in brand management at complex, global organizations, including working with creative teams to develop brand and creative strategies, working with marketing teams to implement brand programs and campaigns, brand and service positioning, brand measurement, and the development of recruiting and brand-level campaignsExcellent leadership and team management skills, including excellence in operational process mappingExceptional communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to tell compelling stories through written and verbal communicationsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisionsAdaptability to changing market conditions and business needsInnovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and growth.Successful candidates will be provided with outstanding career opportunities and will receive a competitive total rewards package with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses. Target Hiring Range $218,000 - $281,000. Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
