Senior Accountant-General Ledger

The Senior Accountant-General Ledger supports the Finance team with a wide variety of functions which include transactional processing, general ledger account reconciliation, variance analysis, monthly journal entry preparation, annual audit support and financial reporting. This position will assist with the implementation of financial and compliance controls. Serves as a key resource for the organization by providing oversight to ensure that financial records are complete and accurate.
Essential Duties :
- Record journal entries, reconcile complex ledger accounts and identify opportunities for improvement to processes or format.
- Record cash transactions and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Process fixed asset acquisitions and disposals.
- Ensure accounting records, monthly accounting close activities, and variance analyses are adequately and properly prepared, maintained and explained in a timely manner.
- Prepare month-end financial reporting packages for various entities. Must be able to validate and interpret results and summarize in a meaningful format.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing work processes and procedures affecting month and quarter end financial close.
- Prepare annual personal property tax return.
- Serve as a point-of-contact and resource for auditors; provide audit schedules, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Effectively produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the business operational, financial and strategic decisions. Ability to mine for, manipulate and manage large volumes of transactional level data.
- Participate in other projects and assignments as needed to support the goals of the department.

Annualized at $103,000 - $115,000, plus bonus. Depending on experience.
