Front Desk Receptionist
We are looking for a friendly, upbeat, reliable Part Time (evening 4p-8p Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays) Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact to represent our amazing long term healthcare facility at Mattpan Healthcare and Rehab. Experience : At least (1) year experience working with a multi-phone system. Preferably in a nursing home setting. Responsibilities include greeting patients, visitors, families with a positive, helpful attitude; providing assistance and guidance to visitors, directing them to various locations. Ensuring visitors are checking in and out of the building, getting identification from agency, vendor visitors, answering phones for a multi-line phone system, fielding calls from families, hospitals, nursing homes, patients, physicians, etc. Taking and dispatching emergency and non-emergency messages, remaining pleasant and professional with callers, and calm under pressure. Working hand in hand with coworkers, checking office voicemail, returning calls and forwarding to other team members as necessary, entering resident demographics into Point Click Care, maintaining client account information, handling protected health information, assisting in the processing of AP invoices and payments including coding, filing, data entry, scanning and storing documents into document management systems or databases, responding to vendor payment requests calls by sending information to Corporate Accounts Payable as applicable, distributing mail / package deliveries throughout office, monitoring Roam Alert alarms and responding in accordance with policy and procedure, ability to handle occasional pressure due to multiple calls, inquiries, locating personnel, etc. Forwarding medical reports, Express Mail, mail, etc., to the appropriate personnel and / or resident. Utilizing the public address system and beepers in accordance with established procedures. Responding to emergency calls following established protocol. Communicating effectively during routine and emergency situations. Ensuring that the lobby is maintained in an orderly and clean manner. Performing duties in a safe manner. Demonstrating an attitude of cooperation and professionalism when dealing with peers and supervisors. Adherence to all aspects of Customer Service, including working together, showing empathy, courteous communication, respect for others. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications include consistent, professional dress and manner, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, good time management skills, multitasking capability without compromising on quality, ability to contribute positively as part of a team, assisting others as needed. Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED.
