Job Description Summary :

This position is responsible for the expert level technical guidance of the infection prevention program across the system.

Knows, interprets, and drives implementation of relevant evidence-based guidelines and recommendations. Implements epidemiological principles to create practices that decrease healthcare associated infections and improve outcomes.

Requires strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication, collaborative, and leadership skills required to work with interdisciplinary teams.

This role serves as a content expert, consultant, influencer and educator to the infection prevention team and system stakeholder groups.

Acts as the main point of contact for the IP team for non-routine situations and practice questions. Ability to quickly make and implement decisions across OhioHealth in consultation with IP leaders as required to control outbreaks and prevent the ongoing transmission of infections.

Works closely with IP leadership to maintain effective operations of infection prevention programs at all OhioHealth locations.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree : Healthcare (Required)CBIC - Certification Board of Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection ControlCertification Board of Infection Control

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Strong verbal communication and persuasion skills. Flexibility and capability to prioritize tasks. Ability to remain composed and quickly make judicious decisions during rapidly changing and potentially high stress situations.
