Job description

Research Budget Analyst

The Research Budget Analyst collaborates with Principal Investigators, researchers, departmental staff, and other ancillary staff to analyze and draft complex clinical trial budgets. The role involves negotiating mutually satisfying terms and conditions for pharmaceutical-sponsored, Cooperative group, and institutional clinical trials. The analyst reviews and analyzes clinical trial protocols to determine appropriate cost allocation, resources, and adherence to all applicable regulations and institutional standards. The position also requires actively participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining relationships that are respectful to all parties involved.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and draft complex clinical trial budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for pharmaceutical-sponsored, cooperative group, and institutional clinical trials.
  • Review and analyze clinical trial protocols to determine cost allocation and resource needs.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and institutional standards in budget management.
  • Participate actively in providing excellent customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in clinical trials and budget negotiations.
  • Proficiency in budget management and grants handling.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a research-related field.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced experience in Excel, including V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and Index functions.
  • Experience in clinical research budget development and negotiation.
  • Familiarity with coverage analysis, research rate setting, and protocol interpretation for budget development.
  • Experience in medical coding or billing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in clinical research, billing compliance, research contract management, research administration, or budget development.

    This is a remote position with eligibility for candidates residing in the following states : Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
