Job description

Seeking an AR / AP Specialist for a family-owned packaging material manufacturing company in Bridgeton, MO!

Overview :

  • Hiring due to 30-year employee retiring in December!
  • Salary $55k / yr (Negotiable)

  • No specific software experience required – company uses proprietary system!
  • 3 years of AR / AP experience required
  • Invoicing, cash applications, reconciliations, and some B2B collections calls
  • Casual dress code & family / friendly environment
  • Ready to hire ASAP!

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue daily invoices and process credit memos accurately
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding billing and payments
  • Investigate and resolve invoice disputes and discrepancies
  • Perform proactive collection calls to ensure timely payments
  • Apply payments (checks, wire, credit cards, lockbox) to customer accounts
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations and reporting
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to resolve billing issues
  • Manage daily credit holds and support AP tasks related to AR
  • Support audits with documentation and workpapers
  • File monthly sales tax returns

    • What We’re Looking For

  • Job stability and 2+ years of tenue in past roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years’ AR experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
