Staff Accountant Audit Support

Job Summary

PrideStaff is seeking a Staff Accountant - Audit Support to assist our client's Controller during external audit fieldwork. This temporary engagement is ideal for an accounting professional with strong general ledger knowledge, familiarity with GAAP, and prior audit support experience. The selected candidate will help prepare documentation, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and organize financial information required by external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize audit documentation and supporting schedules for external auditors
• Assist in preparing detailed schedules of general ledger accounts and supporting reconciliations
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts in preparation for audit fieldwork
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data in accordance with GAAP
• Communicate with the Controller and auditors to provide timely information requests
• Support the accounting team with documentation control, file management, and data validation
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data
