Utilization Review Coordinator

Utilization Review experience required

Our agency is looking for an experienced and reliable Utilization Review Coordinator to work in our UR Department. LPN preferred. The ideal candidate would exhibit a strong work ethic and be highly motivated.

Responsibilities will include :

• Establishing and maintaining efficient methods of ensuring the medical necessity and appropriateness of each client.
• Performs concurrent reviews for patients to ensure that extended stays are medically justified and are so documented in patient's medical records.
• Coordinates with fellow UR Coordinator to streamline the activities of the Utilization Review Department.
• Ensures that each new client is placed in the proper Level of Care.
• Calculates the lengths of stay and continued-stay days for patients.
• Maintains communication with the Clinical and Medical Department in regards to client documentation.
• Works with Clinical Director and Director of Nursing to ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• Attends weekly Clinical Staffing.

Utilization Review experience required
