This role involves analyzing accounts for posting errors and supporting Medicaid / Medicare Quarterly Credit Balance Reports across multiple entities. The specialist ensures compliance with CMS and healthcare compliance guidelines throughout all duties. Additionally, assistance with the annual Escheatment Report preparation is required to adhere to state escheatment processes.
Responsibilities : This position demands detailed analytical skills and critical thinking to accurately correct account discrepancies. A strong understanding of insurance and coordination of benefits within healthcare is essential. The role requires excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a sometimes high-pressure environment. Proficiency in computer use, typing, ten-key skills, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations is necessary.
Education & Experience : Candidates should have at least two years of clerical experience, preferably in a hospital business office or accounting department. Numerical accuracy and clerical perception for detecting errors in computation and posting are required. Passing a Windows aptitude test and a 10-key calculator test is mandatory.
Requirements : Near visual acuity for reading records and fast, accurate data entry is needed. Motor coordination and finger dexterity are important for efficient keyboard use. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
