Driver Helper

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :

Driver Helper assists drivers who deliver goods to businesses and customers. As a driver helper, you will be responsible for all activities except the actual driving : loading and unloading items, contacting customers, collecting payments, keeping in touch with dispatcher or manager, doing delivery paperwork etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Loading and unloading company products
• Assisting drivers to find delivery locations
• Compiling accurate delivery records and reports
• Reporting all delivery-related issues to the supervisor
• Effectively communicating with clients and customers to resolve complaints
• Assisting with the unloading products from the truck on each delivery location
• Obtaining clients and customers' signatures as an acknowledgement of having received the delivered products
• Ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to
• Any other duties assigned by the management

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

• Proven customer service experience is preferred
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work flexible hours
• Able to lift heavy objects
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Loading / unloading experience is preferred

EDUCATION AND / OR TRAINING :

High school or GED equivalent.
