Director, EHS

Our client is seeking a Director of EH&S to lead their Be Safe value to their industrial manufacturing facilities in California and Washington State. This leader will have successfully built an engaging Environmental, Health and Safety culture with a continuous improvement roadmap to excellence.  oOur client has developed a new technology from heavy R&D in the unique lithium-ion battery space.

Our client is seeking a forward thinking, strategy driven leader who will communicate externally and internally as our safety champion. This technically savvy leader will empower and inspire others through knowledge transfer and a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities and Duties :

• Provide leadership and direction for the company within all areas of environmental, health, and safety. Lead a high-performing experienced EH&S team in developing and supporting the organizational goals and create a strong Be Safe culture.
• Develop, implement and refresh a company wide EH&S roadmap and business model to strategically identifies neesd, opportunities, and delivers support.
• Align the organization, leadership and all employees on a common safety vision to ensure proper engagement across the organization.
• Manage and implement programs that meet the vision and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Build for those that use them by partnering with managers, supervisors, and employees to understand occupational health and safety risks and by integrating concepts that empower and sustain safe work habits and behaviors across all levels of the organization.
• Support the company in the development, improvement, and management of EH&S Management Systems. Develop and implement continuous improvement concepts to better the site's safety and environmental performance.
• Hire, coach, and support talent through consistent feedback, navigation of challenges, and celebration of wins.

Domestic Travel : 25%-50%

This position offers an anticipated base salary between $206,000-$260,000, equity and relocation assistance.
