Automation Tester

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.

We are currently looking for an Automation Tester to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
• Uses basic knowledge of professional concepts and company objectives to resolve simple to moderately complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Focus is on operational and tactical activities.
• Participates on project teams.
• Develops strategies and work plans for own tasks.
• Works on small to large, moderately complex assignments.
• Prepares and delivers informal presentations to own team.
• Proactively seeks training and developmental activities related to the industry.
• Escalates complex issues, as needed; follows established escalation procedures.
• Upholds the standards, processes, and procedures.
• Establishes and fosters one-on-one relationships within the department.
• Automated and manual testing of API and Web Applications.
• Assesses and evaluates quality assurance test requirements to determine scope of functionality to be covered by testing.
• Designs, develops, and maintains automation framework
• Designs, produces, executes, and maintains software test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications.
• Ensures software performs correctly, as specified, and meets quality and performance standards.
• Analyzes test results; leverages troubleshooting skills to identify, document, and reproduce issues; provides information to assist in defining root cause.
• Conducts re-testing after defects are addressed.
• Provides and monitors quality control checkpoints throughout the application development process.
• Summarizes and publishes test results for internal customers.
• Generates appropriate documentation for issue tracking, verification, and certification.
• Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics relevant to testing.
• Initiates and implements improvements to current processes within department.
• Assists with task automation and process improvements, as directed.
• Executes and maintains automated tests suites
• Occasional out-of-hours duties may be required to support releases in production environment.
• Protects our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions and daily job responsibilities;

follows security policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Education and Experience :
• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required skills & competencies :
• Experience utilizing Karate and Dev Tools for Automation testing of service applications
• SQL Server database testing
• Defect reporting and tracking to resolution.
• Working in Agile Scrum Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Continuous Integration / Deployment
• Experience of POSTMAN for manual demonstrations
• Web application automation using Selenium
