Location : Austin, TX. This position is in the HHSC CAPPS 9.2 ERP environment, focusing on PeopleSoft Financials.
Responsibilities
- Perform highly advanced code design and development and senior-level systems administration for the HHSC CAPPS (PeopleSoft) Financials system.
- Oversee upkeep, configuration, and reliable operations of CAPPS Financials server components and system software; perform installs and upgrades.
- Plan, assign, and supervise the work of others; work under minimal supervision with initiative and independent judgment.
- Develop technical analyses and solutions aligned with ERP industry standards and HHSC strategies; ensure integration with HHSC master system architecture and long-term needs.
- Produce technical documentation for internal IT staff or external customers; assist in developing and / or reviewing functional documentation for ERP technical solutions.
- Provide direction and knowledge transfer of ERP technical analysis / development skills; mentor and document to aid skill development within the organization.
- Develop work plans and direct activities of other ERP technical analysts to deliver solutions by established due dates.
- Participate in Data Gathering and Joint Application Design Sessions to produce expected deliverables.
- Prepare routine status reports to CAPPS Financials Manager and keep professional skills updated with current IT trends.
- Perform other duties as assigned to maintain effective IT operations.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 development, administration, upgrade / implementation or Financials production support.Knowledge of programming and scripting language architectures; internet security administration.Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills; ability to coordinate solutions and configure systems.Experience with scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing system software; ability to troubleshoot complex systems.Ability to analyze systems and procedures; write and revise standards and procedures; manage multiple projects; effective communication; and supervise others.Qualifications
Graduation from college with major coursework in computer science or related field preferred; experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis (up to 4 years).At least 10 years of PeopleSoft development experience with Admin or similar responsibilities.Additional Information
