Assistant Teacher

Tasks

• Assist in planning and facilitating a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children including those with special needs.
• In conjunction with lead teacher, complete children’s daily communication forms, semi-annual assessments, anecdotal records and positive communications with parents including parent / teacher conferences.
• Maintain physical environment to ensure sanitation and safety of the children and staff in compliance with DHS licensing regulations,NAEYC and Keystone Star accreditations. Provide support as requested in the plan for licensing and monitors’ visits
• Develop and maintain Professional Development Record (PDR) through in-service and outside training
• Assume lead teacher classroom responsibilities in the event of his / her absence
• All other duties as required to ensure the successful operation of the center
• Record time worked by clocking-in and -out at your designated timeclock
