Position Summary

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Services, LLC seeks a Manager, Database Management in Dallas, Texas.

Work You’ll Do

Manages activities related to the administration of databases including policies, design, control, security, monitoring, installation, configuration, change management, and maintenance.

Drives improvements in overall operational reporting. Oversees database efficiency and monitors safety of information. Identifies, develops, implements, and maintains high level industry standard practices.

Responsible for conducting complex data analysis. Oversees the designing of database objects and the development of databases and database load scripts.

Provides insight on database performance improvements and recommendations in improving overall operational reporting. Implements, refines, and maintains data extraction technologies, data analysis, and data management processes.

Address a variety of database integration issues including migration between disparate databases, integration, maintenance, conversion, capacity planning issues, and new applications.

Oversees the testing of programs and databases and ensures that modifications are made to resolve errors. Ensures that security measures in place to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.

Provides technical expertise to assist with the resolution of complex issues related to databases. May serve internal or external clients.

Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a Database Management Specialist;

Infra Technology Specialist-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following skills :

• SQL Reporting Services.
• SQL Integration Services.
• Installation and management of Microsoft SQL Server.
• SQL Server database backup and recovery.
• Version Upgrade / Migration of SQL Server databases.
• Performance Tuning for Application related queries.
• Management of Azure SQL Databases.
• Setting up Encryption for Microsoft SQL Server.
• Telecommuting / working from home allowed within commutable distance.
