Overview
Production Supervisor – Northwest Aerospace Technologies (NAT), a Safran Company, is the only EASA DOA Certified aircraft interior reconfiguration group in the United States. NAT provides design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing services for a variety of commercial and military aircrafts, focusing on first class services for Blue Chip customers.
Safran Cabin headquarters are in Huntington Beach, California, with a global presence of over 11,000 employees at 36 sites. Site locations include the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Germany, France, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Tunisia and Thailand. Safran Cabin serves over 400 airlines and leasing companies globally and delivers to all airframe OEM manufacturers with a heritage spanning over 80 years in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead, teach, coach, and mentor operations personnel; supervise 2–10 employees in the production process; partner with the production manager.
- Promote lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes; build and fabricate parts; lead first articles and initial production runs of highly complex parts.
- Assume responsibility for development and implementation of production department planning, policies, and procedures; assist in developing short- and long-term goals and objectives.
- Develop and update department policies and procedures to align with company-wide strategic objectives; conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with evolving production and quality standards.
- Oversee production and assembly processes; supervise assembly, inspection, and shipment of products; monitor quality and inspect products; identify and resolve problems quickly.
- Regulate workflow to maximize production capacity; monitor floor production schedule to meet deadlines; ensure production functions comply with safety and quality standards.
- Provide leadership through goal setting, delegation, communication; assign personnel and provide training, guidance, and mentorship as needed.
- Advise on personnel decisions and performance appraisals; support changes in operational procedures and DFMA feedback; keep management informed of area activities and significant issues.
- Support Make / Buy decisions and related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Education : Associate's degree or equivalent experience (+2 years)Knowledge : Strong understanding of production procedures, standards, and quality control standards and systemsExperience : 3+ years in manufacturing environment, plus minimum 1 year of leadership experience in manufacturingComputer skills : Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and ERP systemsOther skills : Well organized, strong planning and time management, quality oriented, problem solving; ability to lead teams, conduct meetings, provide direction, delegate, and train / mentor employeesAdditional preferred skills (not required) : Bachelor's degree; 5+ years in manufacturing; 3+ years of leadership in manufacturingBenefits

Annual salary : USD 55,410 – 87,070 or USD 26.64 / hr – 41.86 / hr
