Job Summary :

The Real Estate Research and Data Analyst will be instrumental in driving data-driven insights and strategic decision-making processes across the Company and its real estate portfolio.

This position’s focus will include collecting and coalescing industry related data, analyzing market trends, creating presentations, and developing predictive, analytical models to support various departments within the Company.

Leveraging expertise in data analysis and research methodologies, the Analyst will play a key role in automating ETL processes to streamline operations and enhance our research & analytical capabilities.

This role reports directly to the Company’s Managing Principals and is ideally suited for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual, passionate about data and the real estate industry.

This individual should have the desire to be a part of an expanding, fast-paced company, and work within a team of other highly motivated individuals.

Essential Functions :

• Conduct in-depth analysis of economic, investment and real estate market data, supporting Company objectives and providing leadership with key insights to inform strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.
• Execute ad-hoc research projects spanning a wide range of topics including real estate markets & asset classes, demographics, debt & equity, and economic forecasting with the ability to present findings through clear & concise Excel, Word and PowerPoint presentation.
• Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to effectively communicate key insights and trends to stakeholders.
• Evaluate Company processes and leverage open-source languages to build proprietary solutions to streamline and improve performance across all platforms.
• Develop and maintain predictive models and algorithms to support forecasting and planning activities related to corporate strategy, property performance, market positioning, and various investment strategies.
• Automate Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to streamline data collection, integration, and cleansing from diverse sources, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data and analytical needs, providing tailored solutions and recommendations to address Company-specific challenges and opportunities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies in real estate analytics, continuously enhancing our analytical capabilities and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Data Science, Econometrics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• Experience with traditional research & analysis across varying subjects and data sets
• Experience in data analysis and statistical modeling, preferably within the real estate sector
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages
• Experience with data mining and leveraging machine learning to produce predictive models
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and experience in creating interactive dashboards and reports
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Kera, H20.a a plus
• Experience in property performance analysis and investment modeling is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and multitask when needed
